| The Alpha Phi Foundation |

Alpha Phi Foundation empowers women to be generous givers. We raise and award funds for programs that advance leadership development, encourage academic excellence, improve women’s heart health, support sisters in need and educate about the value of philanthropy. This year, our chapter raised over $14,000 for the Foundation, earning us recognition at our regional conference as having raised the most funds last year.
History
Alpha Phi Foundation, founded in 1956, is one of the oldest Greek foundations for women. It was set up as a trust – its purpose was to award grants from scholarship and cardiac aid funds. Today, two original priorities remain: to encourage and recognize superior scholarship and to support women’s cardiac health. The Foundation also funds programs that provide leadership and educational opportunities, educate women about philanthropy and assist members in need.

In the fall, we host our annual Red Dress Gala. Held over Drake's Parent's Weekend, it's a great chance to raise funds for the Alpha Phi Foundation and gather with our sisters and their families. Check out our photo galleries for more pictures from these fun events! | | |  Fast Phi't
In the spring, Alpha Phi hosts Fast Phi't, a Drake Relays-inspired event. All the houses on Greek Street participate in the relay races and obstacle course organized by our wonderful Philanthropy team! This event is a great opportunity to raise funds for the Alpha Phi Foundation.
 The week leading up to Fast Phi't is also a fun time for everyone. We host events such as "Cardiac Arrest," where we "arrest" the Presidents of each house, and a healthy eating contest! Each house also serenades us, to incorporate our Philanthropy and their house. Each of these events are worth points for each house, and help them to win the Philanthropy at the end of the week.
